Leigh Merrill

Leigh Merrill was born in 1978 and grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She currently lives and works in Dallas, Texas.

Merrill received her BFA from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM and her MFA from Mills College in Oakland, California. Merrill’s work has been a part of exhibitions throughout the United States and abroad in venues including the Centre de la photographie Genève (Switzerland), Paris Photo (France), the Fries Museum (Netherlands), the Phoenix Art Museum (Arizona, United States), the diRosa Art Preserve (California, United States), and FotoFest (Texas, United States). Merrill’s work has been included in publications such as the New York Times, the Washington Post, Afterimage Magazine, and the Dallas Morning News. Her work is part of the permanent collections of the City of Phoenix, the California Institute of Integral Studies and various private collections.
