C.J. Davis
A local Dallas-based artist, born in Concord, North Carolina, in 1967. Davis studied at the University of Texas at Arlington, graduating Summa Cum Laude and earning a BFA in Sculpture. Inspired by post-minimalism and informal aesthetics, C.J.'s common mediums include sculptures, drawings, and paintings that embrace imperfection and irregularity, while remaining deliberate and intuitive.
C.J. has been a part of the contemporary art community in Dallas for over the past two decades, his work has been shown in solo shows to group exhibitions at the Dallas Museum of Art, the Goss-Michael Foundation, and various galleries across the United States and internationally.
